China Daily has reported that the National Energy Administration will be soon be releasing a 10-year "clean energy" plan with the goal of producing 15% of the country's total energy consumption with renewable energy. Even though the country satisfied 9.9 percent of its 2009 energy consumption with renewables, energy consumption increased 6.3%. The NDRC, which oversees the agency, has not officially commented on the plan. |
