Internships


The USCP internship program is designed to mentor undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young professionals who are interested in making a career in the renewable energy industry with special interests in China. The focus of the program is to assist interns along the path of professional development, gaining the knowledge, resources and experience they need to join the renewable energy industry, whether it be in industry and trade, finance or policy.

Program participants engage in research and program assistance with projects tailored to their interests and USCP's current programmatic needs. Interns build on their knowledge of the renewable energy industry, delve into publications and reading lists provided to them by ACORE and USCP staff, and gain introductions to the renewable energy community, as well as potential employers though networking events and personal introductions.

· Program Benefits:

o Learn about the RE industry, markets and policies in the US and China

o Meet leading US and Chinese RE experts and policymakers

o Attend important ACORE and non-ACORE events

o Opportunity to take on independent research project with possible publication and recognition on ACORE USCP website 

· Applicant Requirements:

o Demonstrable interest in RE and US-China relations (formal coursework in at least one of the two areas is preferred)

o Strong academic background with significant research experience

o Excellent writing skills 

· Extraordinary Qualifications:

o Previous experience in China and some level of Mandarin

o Web design and HTML formatting skills
